This Privacy Policy explains how Haruki (the "App") handles user information. Please read this policy before using the App.

1. Information the App Handles

To provide journaling and backup features, the App handles the following information:

• Journal entries you create in the App (text, dates, and condition/health notes you enter)
• Backup files, if you choose to back up your data to Google Drive
• Health data (such as step count and sleep duration) you have authorized through Health Connect, if you enable that integration

This information is stored on your own device and your own Google account only. It is never transmitted to or stored on servers operated by the App's developer or any other third party.

2. Use of Google Drive (drive.file scope)

The App uses only the drive.file Google OAuth 2.0 scope to back up and restore your journal data. This scope has the following characteristics:

• The App can only access files that the App itself has created in your Google Drive.
• The App cannot access any other files or folders that already exist in your Google Drive.
• The App does not view, edit, or delete any file it did not create.

This access is used solely to create, update, and restore your backup, and for no other purpose.

3. Health Connect Integration

If you choose to enable Health Connect integration, the App imports health data such as step count and sleep duration into your journal entries. Regarding this integration:

• The App only reads (imports) data from Health Connect. It does not request or hold write access to modify any data in Health Connect.
• Imported health data is used only to display information within the App and is never transmitted off your device.
• You can disable this integration at any time from your device settings or the Health Connect app.

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

The App does not share, sell, or disclose your journal entries or other collected information to any third party, except where required to do so by law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Journal data is stored on your device and, if backup is enabled, in your Google Drive. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device. Backup files in Google Drive can be deleted, and access can be revoked, at any time from Google Drive or your Google Account permissions settings.
